Everyone who works in Australia has to have a Tax Number Number (TFN), which he needs apply for just after the arrival in the country.
The financial year in Australia begins on 1st July and ends on 30th June. At the end of the financial year is everyone who worked in Australia in that period required to file a tax return. This has to be done no later than by 31st October same year.
To submit a tax return, you will need:
- Your tax file number
- Group Certificate from all the employers that you have worked for in the given financial year
