Located on the North Island of the country, Auckland is New Zealand's largest city. This area is also marked as the most urbanized in the country as there is up to a third of the population of New Zealand living here.

Like every big city, Auckland offers to its visitors and residents many opportunities for entertainment, cultural enjoyment, education and last but not least, job opportunities. Students and seasonal workers are mostly employed in stores, restaurants, cafes and offices, as most of New Zealand's big companies have their headquarters here, despite of the fact that Auckland is not being the country's capital.

Auckland is also known as "City of Sails", mostly becauce of the international sailing races being held here annually in addition to permanent and seasonal port visitors.

The most visited attraction of the city is the Sky Tower, which is currently considered the tallest building in the southern hemisphere.
